    Free AI Visibility Audit

Is your business visible to AI?

When someone asks ChatGPT or Claude to recommend a supplier, a short list comes back. If your business is on it, you get the enquiry. If it is not, you never hear about it. This free audit checks how findable and quotable your business is to AI systems, and tells you exactly what to fix.

    Ten checks

    What the audit covers

    1. 01

Whether your robots.txt file is blocking AI crawlers

Many sites quietly block the crawlers that ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity rely on.

    2. 02

Whether you have an llms.txt file

A plain summary of your business, written for AI systems to read and quote accurately.

    3. 03

Whether your site content is readable without JavaScript

If your words only appear after scripts run, most AI crawlers never see them.

    4. 04

Whether you have structured data in place

Machine-readable markup telling AI what you do, where you are and what you charge.

    5. 05

Whether your pages answer questions in the first two sentences

AI systems quote answers, so the answer needs to come before the build-up.

    6. 06

Whether you have real FAQ content

Genuine questions and answers give AI something specific to lift and cite.

    7. 07

Whether your claims are specific or vague

Numbers, places and named services get repeated. Adjectives get skipped.

    8. 08

      Whether you have comparison content

Buyers ask AI to compare options, so pages that compare fairly get pulled in.

    9. 09

Whether your pages show freshness signals

Dates and visible updates tell AI the information is still worth trusting.

    10. 10

Whether the business appears on the third-party sources AI systems cite

Directories, listings and mentions elsewhere are often quoted before your own site.

    The report

    What you get back

A score out of 20, with a traffic light rating, so you can see at a glance whether your business is in good shape, patchy, or effectively invisible to AI systems right now.

The results of real buyer-intent search prompts run against your business, the kind a potential customer would actually type, showing how often you appeared and who came back instead of you.

The three things that would make the biggest difference, ranked, so you know what to do first rather than being handed a list of twenty jobs and left to guess.

    Questions

    Common questions

    Is the audit really free?

Yes, genuinely. I built the checks for my own businesses and it costs me very little to run them for yours. I read every report before it goes out, so there is a limit to how many I can do in a week, but there is no charge and no obligation.

How long does it take to get my report?

Usually within one working day. The checks themselves run quickly, but I review the results personally before sending, because automated output on its own is rarely worth reading. If I am unusually busy I will tell you rather than leave you waiting.

Do I need to give you access to my website?

No. Everything I check is already publicly visible, which is exactly the point. If AI systems can see it without logging in, so can I. You do not need to share passwords, analytics or anything from behind the scenes.

Is this the same as SEO?

It is related, but not the same thing. SEO is largely about ranking in Google's results. This is about whether an AI system will quote your business when someone asks it for a recommendation. Some of the groundwork overlaps, and plenty of it does not.

    Who will see my results?

Only you and me. I do not publish audits, share them as examples or pass your details on to anyone. If I ever wanted to reference something from your report publicly, I would ask you first.

What happens after I get the report?

That is entirely up to you. Most of the fixes are things a capable web person can do, and the report is written so you can hand it straight to them. If you would rather talk it through with me, you are welcome to reply, and if you would rather just get on with it, that is a good outcome too.

If nothing else, you will know where you stand. That is usually a better place to start from than guessing.
